Mahama commissions the Lambussie Community Day SHS which is part of his vision to provide free and quality education to all Ghanaians
President John Dramani Mahama has officially opened the Lambussie Community Day SHS in the Upper West Region. The school inauguration formed part of his 3-day campaign tour of the region.
The Lambussie Community Day SHS is one of eight Community Day Senior High Schools being constructed by government in the Region. The others are at various stages of completion.

The Lambussie school is the first to be commissioned in the whole of the three Northern Regions. It is located a few kilometers from the centre of Lambussie and has already admitted over 80 students as its first set.
Addressing the audience at the occasion, Mahama said the school will give an opportunity to several children who otherwise would not have gotten placement upon completion of their basic schools. The President reiterated government’s commitment to ensuring that the remaining schools are completed promising them ‘‘that a day like this will come when their schools will be commissioned’’.
Also speaking at the event, Deputy Minister for Education, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said the commissioning is a testimony of the president being a father for all.
In appreciation of the numerous developmental projects the incumbent government has carried out in the area, President Mahama was enskinned by the Lambussie Kuoro, Kuoro Salifu Dy-yakah as the Taw-osae Kuoro meaning ‘Development Chief’.
