They are seen to be a violent group of people. Some of them have over the years been used by politicians and people to cause chaos, especially at polling stations across the country during general elections.
But this year, these people – bodybuilders and macho men in Ghana- have resolved to flex their muscles for a peaceful general elections in a bid to disabuse the minds of the people that they are noted for violence.
Oliver Rockson, a silver and bronze medalist of Man Ghana 2014 and 2015 respectively, has joined forces with winner of this year’s Ghana’s Strongest, Courage Adukpo and other bodybuilders and macho men to campaign for peace in this year’s December 7 general elections.
An initiative of Rockson, who is also known as the ‘The Moulded One‘, the group will this Saturday, take to some streets of Accra flexing their muscles in a march towards peace. Dubbed ‘Flex for Peace’, the march starts at 7:00am from the 37 Military Hospital Roundabout through Arko Adjei interchange to the forecourt of the National Theatre.
Participants will engage in aerobics and other muscle flexing competition to pick the best in various categories. Think you’ve got strong muscles, six or one pack? Then don’t miss this great opportunity to flex your muscle for peace.
