Mabang Senior High Technical School (SHTS) has expressed gratitude to the renowned Ghanaian entrepreneur, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, for his donation to the school.
Dr. Nduom, who was the 2016 presidential candidate of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), has redeemed the 200 bags of cement promise he made to the school during last year’s electioneering campaign.
Mabangmanhene, Nana Darko Montwi, told Today in an interview that he has over the years made countless appeals to governments as well as non-governmental organisations to come to the aid of the school but to no avail.
According to him, he was astonished when he was informed that Dr. Nduom had supported them with two hundred (200) bags of cement to complete their three classroom blocks which had been ignored due to the lack of funds.
He commended Dr. Nduom for the gesture and further pleaded that he adopts any of their ongoing projects for it to be dedicated to him when commissioned.
He further appealed to other cooperate organisations to emulate Dr. Nduom’s kind gesture.
Headmistress of the school, Madam Susana Akua Quayson, on her part was equally grateful to Dr. Nduom for coming to their aid at a time the school needed help.
MASSTECH, as the school is popularly known, has a student population of eight hundred and seventy (870) but lacks teachers’ bungalow, place of convenience and a standard dining hall.
