First Lady Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo has called on all to protect the earth and the environment to ensure a better world for future inhabitants.
Speaking during a courtesy call on her by Miss Earth Ghana 2016 Deborah Eyram Dodor and other Queens from various countries, Mrs. Akufo-Addo applauded an initiative by the queen to protect the environment.
The First Lady commended Miss Dodor for spearheading a clean Ghana campaign dubbed “Trash in Bin” which is intended at encouraging the use of trash bins across Ghana.
She also assured Ms. Dodor and her colleague Miss Earth Queens of her absolute support for their initiative which she noted will help beautify the environment and make a meaningful contribution to sanitation in Ghana.
Ms. Dodor who led the group of queens to visit the First Lady, thanked her for her support and encouragement and promised to ensure a meaningful and successful campaign to help sanitize Ghana’s environment.
The Queens concluded their visit with a tree planting at the First Lady’s office to symbolize their commitment and resolve at ensuring a successful campaign.
