Dr Anim-Odame was dismissed on Tuesday January 24, but a letter signed by the Secretary to the President Nana Asante Bediatuo and addressed to him on Thursday said the President wants him to stay on the job.
“Further to my letter referenced OPS.127v.8/A89 dated 24th January 2017, please be advised same is hereby withdrawn.
“You are directed to continue to act in your position and perform your duties in the ordinary course as per the terms of your engagement.
“The President counts on your diligence and dedicated service to the nation,” the letter read.
The President appears to be on a sacking spree since last week dismissing most of the political appointees in strategic state institutions in the country.
