Asante Kotoko could not break Inter Allies in their Match Day 9 Ghana Premier League game played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, April 2.
The Porcupine Warriors were hoping to pick up the pieces following their 1-0 loss to Hearts of Oak a fortnight ago.
But the Tema-based side may have played the match for their former coach, Herbert Addo, who died last week. Allies was the last team he coached in the League before his retirement last season.
The deadlock could not be broken and so the two sides shared the spoils.
Though the point puts Kotoko top of the League, Aduana Stars’ encounter with Wa All Stars which has been postponed will determine the rightful leader.
The same point puts Allies just above the drop zone.
Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak could not replicate the win over their arch-rivals as they lost 0-1 to Berekum Chelsea on Sunday.
Stephen Sarfo’s goal separated the two former champions.
Another significant result came by way of Great Olympics pipping Ebusua Dawrfs at the Accra Sports Stadium.
It is the first win for the Agosu Boys this season though they were declared winners of their Match Day 4 encounter with Bolgatanga All Stars.
