A pro-National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) has slammed National Organizer, Mr. Kofi Adams stating that he was nobody before he was elected to hold his office.
Spokesperson for the group Keglo Hamenya in an interview with Rainbow Radio’s Kwame Tutu quizzed why Kofi Adams is moving from one station to the other projecting former President John Dramani Mahama as the best bet for the NDC in 2020. He said, the movement will work hard to make anyone who the party presents to them as flagbearer- as the president in 2020.
Hamenya posited that they knew Kofi Adams some few years ago before he was elected and can confidently say that, he had nothing.
He alleged that Kofi Adams, is moving from one station to the other projecting the former president as the best candidate for 2020 because, he [Mahama] has threatened to name those who squandered campaign cash.
‘’He [Kofi Adams] thought that his name would be mentioned and so he is moving from one station to the other projecting the former president.’’
He asked Mr. Adams to keep quiet adding: ‘’he should not move from one station to the other, projecting anybody at this time.
This is not the time to project anybody. This is the time to work for the party, to heal our wounds and to make sure that we move into 2020 election without any problem. Kofi Adams should keep quiet.
It is high time, Kofi Adams who led us into the 2016 defeat keep quiet. He should also listen to the National Executive Committee (NEC).
What he is doing is not good for the party.’’ He further argued that the Kwesi Botchwey led committee mandated to investigate the cause for the defeat of the party is much I do about nothing since the party ignored the warning signs for their defeat.
‘’Where were the committee people before the 2016 elections? We were complaining to them; we were telling them things that would led to our defeat but they were not listening.’’
Some party members he stated had presidential ambition and ”led us to what had happened .’’
