The National Organiser of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Kofi Adams has admonished critics of the former President John Dramani Mahama and the party executives to stop spewing venom as if they are inexperienced saying their actions are borne out of indiscipline.
He called on the critics blaming Mr Mahama and the executives of the party of being the cause of the party’s 2016 electoral defeat to stop talking ‘by heart’ (none sense).
‘Why the blame game?, some party gurus and party members are just talking by heart accusing the former President Mahama, General Secretary Asiedu Nketia and myself of sidelining them and diverting monies and paraphernalia meant for the campaign. Those claiming to be experienced members of the NDC should behave as such, and stop talking as if they are not experienced, their actions are completely out of indiscipline,’ he pointed out.
Some gurus and footsoldiers of the NDC have accused the campaign team of squandering monies meant for the campaign.
But speaking on Abusua FM’s Abusua Nkommo hosted by Kwame Adinkra, he questioned if the critics are creating controversies just to gain votes when they attempt to contest in the presidential race of the party when they go to Congress next four years.
He said whether Mr Mahama contests or not in 2020 elections, his legacy will be the basis for their campaign wondering why his critics are bent on painting him black.
‘How can you claim to love the NDC when you go about dragging the name of the former President in the mud?’, he asked.
He debunked claims that he hoarded party t-shirts meant for distribution to party members during electioneering.
‘Apart from the t-shirts , I wore, I don’t have any t-shirts embossed with former President Mahama’s image in my house,’he explained.
Mr Adams entreated the aggrieved NDC members to stop the media banter and channel their grievances to the Prof Kwasi Botchway’s committee.
‘There will surely be speculations when a larger party loses power. It also gives room for people to perpetuate falsehoods about other members of the party. We knew this was going to happen hence the setting up of the committee,’ he said.
