Life & Style magazine has exclusively learned that Sister Wives’ Kody Brown is having major financial problems, including a six-figure debt, and all four of his wives, Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn, are done with him.
Money woes have plagued the Brown family, making it difficult for the wives to strike out on their own.
Robyn has been one of the hardest hit. A few years ago, her teen son Dayton (whose birth name is David Jessop) “had a horrific ATV accident and had to go through extensive surgery to repair his face,” reveals family friend Kendra Pollard.
“Insurance covered it a little bit,” but eventually a “very, very large” hospital lien was put on Robyn’s Las Vegas home for unpaid medical bills. The document at above reveals the debt wasn’t settled until August 2015.
Sister Wives returns on Nov. 27, but ratings had been so low for the series, the network considered pulling the plug on the troubled Brown brood.
Kody knows this is his last chance. As Life & Style previously reported, the desperate father of 18 concocted schemes, such as adding more wives to his harem, to keep audiences interested.
“He’s been under so much pressure because his entire livelihood depends on Sister Wives,” notes Kendra.
