KMA Presiding Member and Assembly Members Are A Bunch of Disgrace

A former Spokesperson for the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council and past government appointee of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Mr. Francis Dodovi has said that the crop of current Assembly discharge their duties based on political lines which made things difficult for the former mayor, Kojo Bonsu .

He explains that suspicion at the assembly was so high that elected members will always disagree with appointees even to extent that falsehood is peddled about the mayor.

“Most of the Assembly members in the Kumasi metropolis including the Presiding Member (PM), Hon Abraham Boadi are disgrace who were championing the political agenda of the then party in opposition, the New Patriotic Party.

Hon. Kojo Bonsu as Mayor of the city was hackled and accused of many things he did not do by colleagues on other side just to score political goals”, the former appointee stated it on Ultimate FM’s Fact File.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) communicator continued that “the geographic location as appointee does not favour and I have to bulldoze my way with my suggestion to do my best”

Francis Dodovi revealed he has personal beef with the current Presiding Member (PM) Abraham Boadi who made things difficult for the immediate past PM in chairing assembly meetings.

He recounted that in one of their meetings where they were to elect PM to chair the meetings, Abraham Boadi walked from his seat to the staff of the Electoral Commission (EC) who were mandated to conduct the election and started giving instructions without following procedures of the house.

According to him, elected members of the house were not following the right procedures in addressing issues but prefer to use their numbers to turn things around for obvious reasons.
