The flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo has urged the Ghanaian electorate to use the power of their thumb to end their suffering under the Mahama administration.
The three-time presidential aspirant is appealing to Ghanaians to vote out President John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the forthcoming 7 December polls.
Mr Akufo-Addo made this call during a campaign tour of the Ablekuma South constituency in the Greater Accra Region where he gave the assurance that he will not disappoint Ghanaians.
He told supporters in the constituency where fishing is their livelihood that he “will ensure that premix fuel is made available at a reasonable cost as was witnessed during the administration of Kufuor”.
Mr Akufo-Addo stressed his commitment to making the free Senior High School (SHS) a reality. He also promised a revamped National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) to cater for citizens.
For him, employment for the youth will be a key intervention under a government of the NPP.
All the promises he has made, Mr Akufo-Addo said, “are not election rhetoric” but things he is committed to implementing.
In order for him to have a successful presidential tenure as he hopes, Mr Akufo-Addo encouraged the constituents to vote for the parliamentary candidate of the area, Jerry Ahmed Shaib so that together Ghana can be returned to its glorious days.
