Justice William Atuguba is the acting Chief Justice in the absence of Justice Georgina Theodora Woode.
Justice Georgina Theodora Woode has taken her leave prior to her retirement.
The Speaker of Parliament, Prof Mike Oquaye, made this known while introducing dignitaries in Parliament Thursday ahead of President Akufo-Addo’s first State of the Nation Address.
In his introduction, Prof Oquaye referred to Justice Atuguba as the acting Chief Justice.
Justice Atuguba once acted as Chief Justice from May 25, 2016 until June 3, 2016, while Justice Georgina Theodora Woode was outside the country on official assignment.
Mr. Atuguba also chaired the panel that sat on Ghana’s 2012 election petition.
