The Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, has consoled the Asantehene over the death of his mother.
Nana Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem II, the mother of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, died in the early hours of Tuesday, November 15.
She was the successor of Nana Ama Serwaa Nyarko II, who reigned from 1945 to 1977. She had been on the throne for 39 years.
Mr Debrah, who is in the Ashanti Region as part of his campaign activities to ensure the re-election of President John Mahama in the December 7 polls, seized the opportunity to go to the Manhyia Palace to console the Otumfuo on Wednesday, November 16.
