Rapper Medikal has denied demanding money from a female journalist before giving her audience for an interview.
Few days ago, a screenshot of an alleged whatsapp chat between the “Too Risky” hitmaker and Hitz FM presenter MzGee generated discussions on the Ghanaian social media space as the content had trapped him in the supposed act.
“I’ve never asked money from anyone,” the fast-rising musician denied on Rythmz Live with Jason Ela.
Speaking further Medikal expressed surprise at the allegation, revealing that he had had previous interview session with the same journalist.
“This girl [MzGee] you’re talking about, I’ve done an interview for her before; it was last year.
“I remember that day, I was at Pokuase. I woke up like 6 and by 7, I drove to Hitz FM. This was last year so I don’t know what she is saying,” he narrated.
Rejecting talks of being arrogant the young artiste said he believes he is one of the most down-to-earth persons in his business and appreciates the efforts people contribute to his career growth.
“Even sometimes if I go for some of these interviews, I sort out some of these DJs because they are doing a good work for me.
“This one [alleged whatsapp chat], I don’t know who did this thing.
“I saw it [the screenshot] on twitter [and] I was laughing… [and asked] or she is talking to the wrong Medikal?,” he said Wednesday.
