The newly installed ‘Ga Mantse’ King Nii Tackie Obli II has exclusively told mynewsgh.com that he is the legitimate King of the Ga Kingdom and that others parading themselves as such are fraudsters and fake.
According to him, the Kingmakers who mandated by the customs of traditions of Ga Kindom gave their blessings to his installation.
“Before my installation barely a week ago, the Ga stool was vacant. Tradition demands that a royal from one of the lineages be installed as a King when it comes to such a situation. With consultation from the various Kingmakers I was chosen as the rightful heir to the stool and subsequently enstooled,” he said.
The new Ga Mantse whose installation seems to have resurrected the long-standing chieftaincy feud in the Ga Kingdom is known in private life as Nii Ajumako Nunoo, a retired Chief Executive Officer of the Lands Commission.
He claims he succeeds his late brother, Nii Tackie Obli II known as Ayeetey Canada who died about 4 months ago as contained in a release circulated by Abola Sennhh -Ste, Osi – Ahele.
