A former Deputy Minister for Employment and Labour Relations and defeated Member of Parliament for Akwatia Constituency in the Eastern region Baba Jamal believes life in opposition is less stressful and enjoyable as compared to being in power.
He reveals that he currently enjoys life more than he was in power and is not under any compulsion as compared to when he was either a minister or Member of Parliament (MP).
“You have no stress, you sleep and wake up at anytime you like and no one comes to knock at your door for anything. Indeed it is sweet being in opposition but there is a bitter part of it. Where the NPP is taking the country if care is not taken they will drive us into abyss”, he revealed.
The former NDC executive lost his reelection bid to return to parliament in 2016 after he polled 15,905 votes while Ama Sey whom he described as hairdresser garnered 21,433 of the total valid votes.
Many have predicted life will be difficult for the vociferous politician after his party lost to the NPP. But Baba Jamal disagrees and feels it is rather the reverse.
