Policy Analyst of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) says he will not be offended if President Mahama refer to him as a political quantity surveyor.
According to Boakye Agyarko, if he would be called names by the President for demanding values for money in government’s infrastructural projects, so be it.
His comment comes after the President called critics claiming the cost of the Kasoa Interchange project has been inflated as political quantity surveyors.
President Mahama explained that, the 172 million dollar project, comprises the construction of 200 meter Interchange Bridge, a new roundabout, drainage, lighting system, 33-kilometre Amasaman-Kasoa road and and 20-kilometer road in the Ga South municipality and Kasoa.
But Mr. Boakye Agyarko on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Thursday maintained that, most of the infrastructural projects being undertaking by government has been inflated.
He explained the cost of three interchanges under the Mahama-led government is close to half a billion compared to eight built by the NPP with just 20 billion cedis.
The NPP Policy Analyst noted that, all they are seeking to achieve is to ensure Ghanaians are not shortchanged by the Mahama-led National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.
Mr. Agyarko said the only way to stop the ‘unbridled corruption’ and the dissipation of public funds is by voting against the NDC in the December 7 polls.
