Vice President Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amsisah Arthur has revealed that he was restrained from responding to Dr. Bawumia’s lecture on the economy by a colleague lecturer at the University of Ghana, Legon.
He said the unnamed lecturer advised him not to respond since the entire gloomy picture of the Ghanaian economy as painted by the Dr Bawumia during his lecture, was politically embedded with rhetoric.
Addressing a large gathering of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters at the Sunyani coronation park where the party launched its manifesto for the December polls dubbed “Changing Lives, Transforming Ghana.”, the Vice president hinted of replying Dr. Bawumia on equal measure but only on campaign platforms
“Days after Dr. B held his public lecture, some former colleagues of mine at the University of Ghana called me, they said I shouldn’t respond to the issues Opana’s younger brother raised,” he revealed. He was referring to the NPP’s running mate as “Dr. B”
“They thought Dr. B was engaged in political exercise instead of issues affecting the economy,” he added.
“That public lecturer was full of lies. It took me days to get a copy and read. I could clearly see lies in every sentence of that lecturer.”
“In appropriate time, we will deal with the lies Dr. B raised in that lecture,” he added.
