Ace Investigative Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas has indicated that he will investigate the operations of the country’s Electoral Commission if there is the need to uncover any wrongdoing there.
According to Anas, his kind of journalism puts the public interest above everything else hence his resolve focus on the EC.
Speaking to Amansan radio in the United States, Anas said conducting this year’s election in a free and fair manner is crucial to the country’s democracy.
“As I speak now, I am an investigative journalist and when there is any subject worthy of investigation why not, I will investigate.
When it is time to investigate anything I don’t mind what it is and we only have to make sure those issues are important. I am not saying I will investigate the EC or I will not investigate the EC.
“All I am saying is that if there is any issue that needs investigation and we have the capacity, we will. Just keep your fingers crossed. The good people of Ghana, we are all there and we are all witnesses and what we must all pray for is to have a very peaceful election and I think all of us must find peace within the frontiers of our democracy.”
