The New Patriotic Party(NPP) Parliamentary candidate for Odododiodio constituency in the Gt. Accra region, Nii Lante Bannerman has described the attacks against him by incumbent Member of Parliament, Nii Lantey Vanderpuije as a sign of desperation.
The MP recently in a media interview offered to sponsor his rival to obtain some higher education, alleging that his contender needs such education so he could be mindful of the right attitudes and manners deserving of one aspiring a high office in the society.
Mr. Vanderpuije accused the NPP nominee of lacking manners and hence does not deserve to stand in the contest.
In a rebuttal, Bannerman despite admitting to the fact that he’d no certificate apart from the Senior Secondary School Certificate Exams(SSSCE), he indicated that he’s what it takes to fund his tertiary education, if he wants to.
He adds “I have worked with prudential bank for the past 13 years and I have what it takes to finance my own education”
For him, he’s preparing for a serious encounter come December, 7 to unseat the Sports Minister in the Odododiodio parliamentary elections.
“…I have the necessary exposure, the experience to defeat Nii Lante Vanderpuije in this particular election. I saw the opportunity to defeat him and free the people of Odododiodio from the lies and deceit that Nii Lante has taken them through and that is why I gave up a distance programme to come and contest him.” he told Accra-based Citi FM.
