Award winning songstress Mzbel has expressed her readiness to campaign for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) again if called upon to but will do so with a lot of precaution.
The controversial musician openly declared her support for former president John Mahama and the NDC during the 2016 general elections, which was won by the NPP.
In an exclusive interview on TV3’s newday with Bright Nana Amfoh, Mzbel said she supported the NDC because of what the party had done for her but further stated that, she will be willing to do so again if she’s needed.
“I don’t regret at all and I supported that party because of what they have done for my charity foundation.”
According to her, she receives support from them for her yearly concert at Jamestown, a suburb of Accra, where free health screening and other events are organised.
So, she saw no need not to support the NDC when they needed her support.
She, however, added that she would campaign again if need be but this time around with a lot of precaution.
“I don’t have money to campaign vigorously but I have a social media platform and I have a voice and people took it wrongly but maybe I also went too far but I don’t regret and if they come back again I will support them but with precaution”.
