Music manager DJ Amess says he will not allow Mzbel to apologise to the president-elect, Nana Akufo-Addo over some comments she made during the electioneering campaign.
Speaking on Onua 95.1 FM’s Anigye Mmre, DJ Amess told host Christian Agyei Frimpong that “Mzbel’s comments were made before the elections during the heat of the campaign period”.
“Lots of things were said about His Excellency Dramani John Mahama and it’s not important now that Nana Akufo-Addo has been elected as president. I will never allow Mzbel to apologise to the president-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.”
Born Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, hiplife artiste Mzbel was heard in a video that went viral on social media lambasting the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential candidate: “Nana Addo will not win the elections, because he is not a presidential material, if he is elected as president he will be falling down always. The School buildings His Excellency Dramani John Mahama has built so far looks nice and better than what was built by the Kufuor government. NPP supporters are asking the cost of the three-tier interchange known as Circle Dubai. How much did it cost Ghana during the Ghana @ 50?”
But Mzbel in a leaked telephone conversation with a radio presenter hinted she wants to apologise to Nana Akufo-Addo after some supporters of the NPP besieged her residence and asked her to apologise to Nana Addo in a video recording.
