Communications Minister,Dr Edward Omane Boamah, went berserk on Joy FM’s current affairs programme Newsfile, accusing the host of bias.
It came as the president’s spokesman mounted a spirited argument in defence of the Wayome judgement debt saga, preferring to discuss a letter the presidential nominee of the NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo, wrote in defence of a company seeking judgement debt.
As the host tried to whip him , he lost his cool, accusing host Sampson Lardy Ayenini and Joy FM of whitewashing Akufo-Addo.
The president’s spokesman also turned his blazing gun on former Attorney General Martin Amidu, calling him a “liar,” demanding that Joy FM puts him on the phone for him to address him.
When his demand was refused, he quizzed: “Sampson, why are you not putting him online?”
At that point, a banter ensues between him and the host, as Sampson tells him, “I am not one of those dumb host” who succumbs to your demand.
Omane Boamah then responded: “I won’t sit down here and allow you to turn the truth upside down. Martin Amidu has lied, yet you are not interested in putting him online.”
Other panellists on the show had to remind him that he is a Minister of state and that his conduct on the show was repugnant.
Sampson, who nearly lost his cool, asked the minister to leave the show if he cannot restrain him and allow others to contribute to the show.
