Minister designate for interior, Ambrose Derry has promised to work hard to make good the promises of President Akufo-Addo to Ghanaians when given the nod.
According to him Ghanaians feel insecured as a result of threats of armed robbery and disasters, and it is his goal to make sure people are secure, safe and can have peace to go about their activities as promised by President Akufo-Addo.
“For now my commitment is to the manifesto of President Akufo-Addo, which is to work in hand with the various agencies under the interior ministry to advance the vision of the President, Nana Akufo-Addo” he told Otec fm’s Nyansapo.
He promised to ensure balance in the work of police and the rights of citizens as per the laws of the state and as prescribed by the Constitution of the republic.
Touching on police recruitments which have been characterized by fraud and scams, Mr. Derry Promised to review and restructure the process to make sure it is based on merit and not on any other Unimportant factors as stipulated in the Npp manifesto.
He intimated that it is part of the vision and commitment of President Akufo-Addo to ensure a favourable change in the recruitment processes of all the other agencies under the interior ministryto be able to produce well trained, motivated and resourced personel to work to achieve the requisite peace and security.
