Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is daring National Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams to sue him in court for defamation.
According to Nana Obiri Boahen, he still stands by his claim that cars taken from the residence of Mr. Adams belonged to the state.
The NDC National Organizer through his lawyer is demanding an immediate retraction and apology from the Deputy General Secretary of the governing party who suggested that the NDC executive was hoarding state vehicles in his house.
Samson Lardy Anyenini says the imputation of criminal conduct by Nana Obiri Boahene on their client- Kofi Adams- is without basis and an attempt to impugn the reputation of the NDC.
In a letter written to Obiri Boahene, the lawyers are demanding the apology within seven days, failure which they will file a defamation suit against the Deputy NPP General Secretary.
But Nana Obiri Boahen on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Thursday called the bluff of Kofi Adams.
He stressed that, his claim that the chassis number of one of the two V8 Land Cruisers with registration number GM 843-15 was altered before it was given to Kofi Adams is factual.
The NPP deputy scribe maintained that “Kofi Adams’ car is a government of Ghana vehicle. It was stolen and sold to him”.
Nana Obiri Boahen who is also a lawyer by profession said he is ready to meet Kofi Adams in court.
