PPP believe they will become party of choice in subsequent elections
Presidential Candidate of the Progressive Peoples Party Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom on Thursday embarked on a tour of the Northern region to among others, express his party’s appreciation to members and sympathisers of the party in that region.
Accompanied by regional executives and campaign advisor Richmond Keelson, Dr. Nduom visited several communities to bond with them even as he sold his job creation agenda with less than a week to the 2016 general elections.
He promised to forge a partnership with communities that show him the needed support come December 7.
He says these communities will not be left out as he pursues a developmental agenda for underprivileged communities during his tenure as president of the republic. The vision according to Dr. Nduom is to see agro processing factories in such communities set up in order to provide ready market for farmers who cultivate yam, millet, groundnut, rice and a host of other commodities.
The party’s regional executives have meanwhile expressed optimism that the PPP win six parliamentary seats and 25% of presidential votes in the region. They believe the PPP will become the party of choice in subsequent elections.
The PPP Presidential campaign is in the Eastern Region today and will move to the Central and Western regions for the remaining days of the campaign.
