I Will Be Disappointed If Akufo-Addo Fails To Deliver

A member of the Ashanti Regional Communication teams of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Richard Boadi Soadwa has hinted that he will be very disappointed if the President Nana Addo’s government fails to deliver on their campaign promises with it appointed 110 ministers.

The President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has heavily been criticised by a section of Ghanaians for nominating 110 ministers and deputies.

The Minority in Parliament and some members of the opposition have argued that the large size of the Akufo-Addo’s government will have a toll on the public purse.

Mr Boadi Soadwa in an interview with Abusua Dawuro’s reporter Osei Kwadwo, he explained that the number is huge and that he does not expects the President to fail.

He envisaged that the President and the appointees work hard to transform Ghana and make the economy stable within the shortest possible time.

According to him, the one-district-one factory, one constitution-one million-Ghana cedis will not only be a dream but will come to fruition to provide jobs for the teeming youth in the country.

“Most Ghanaians are condemning the number of the ministers appointed as compared to successive governments but I believe Nana Addo has a vision in appointing these ministers to help him change the fortunes of the country. The end justifies the means, Ghanaians have given Nana Addo and NPP four years to rule this country. So if he fails then they can criticise him and if he delivers, they can also praise him. Though I am an NPP member, I will not hesitate to criticise him if he fails. The number shouldn’t be a problem, value is what we should be concerned about. With this huge number, I will be very disappointed if Nana Addo fails to deliver and I know majority of Ghanaians will also be disappointed as well. But I know he will not,’ he said.
