The president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has maintained that he was not elected by the people of Ghana to complain but rather to do a job for mother Ghana.
The president was speaking at his first state of the nations address Tuesday morning at the Parliament house in Accra where he reiterated his governments commitment to fixing Ghana’s economic challenges.
“I wasn’t elected by the people to complain… I was elected to fix what is broken and my government is determined to do just that”, he said.
“At the beginning of March, the Minister for Finance will come to this house to give details of our economic policies and the clear road map that we have made out for taking the country out of the current predicament onto a sustainable path of recovery, jobs creation and prosperity.
“I an absolute in my confidence that we have the program, the competence, the commitment and the goodwill of the people to turn this around and the by the grace of God, we will succeed”.
