After receiving so much bashing from a cross section of the Ghanaian public for a series of lawless actions undertaken by them, the Delta Force seems to have finally gotten support for their widely condemned actions.
Controversial musician, Kwame A Plus has openly expressed his support for the actions of the Kumasi based pro government vigilante group.
The Delta Force have been accused of allegedly storming into the Kumasi Circuit Court that was hearing the case of some their members, destroying properties, disrupting proceedings and setting free their colleagues.
Their colleagues were arraigned before the court for allegedly invading the premises of the Ashanti Region Security Coordinator office and hauling out of office the President’s appointee to head the Regional Security Council.
They were however denied bail by the presiding Judge, a decision which annoyed the pro government vigilante group resulting in the besieging of the courts to forcibly ‘bail’ their colleagues.
However, controversial musician and known sympathiser of the governing party asserted that the court over steeped its boundary when they rejected the bail application of ‘law abiding’ members of the Delta Force.
He was astonished that despite the obeisance of the requirements and laws by the arraigned members of the vigilante group, the presiding Judge still denied them bail.
He backed the actions of the members of the group and insisted that they had the right to enjoy their rights and freedom and not even the Judge could prevent them from enjoying the freedom.
He suggested that this will be the fate of other Judges and Politicians who will attempt to curtail the freedom of the people.
He describes their actions more as a fight for their freedom than an unlawful destruction of properties or any form of wrong doing.
A Plus also criticised the Ghana Bar Association and other bodies that condemned the action of the vigilante group.
