Leader of the disqualified All people’s Congress(APC), Hassan Ayariga has said he does not feel sorry about his tantrums thrown at the Electoral Commission Chairperson, Charlotte Osei for the high handed decision she took against him yesterday.
Mr. Ayariga called Mrs Charlotte Osei “stupid” and “foolish” after he was disqualified from contesting the 2016 presidential election.
However, Ayariga told sit-in host Kweku Owusu Adjei onAnopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM that the frenzy of rage which saw him using unpalatable words against the EC Boss were justifiable because the EC called for it.
“The EC gave me a voters ID card and the same voters ID card is what I used to fill my forms and then you come back to tell Ghanaians that that I did not put enough documents to prove my identification; what do you expect me to call that person? Hassan Ayariga fumed.
Ayariga who feels slighted by the decision of the returning officer (Osei) asked, “Where was the EC chair when I was contesting the 2012 elections? You didn’t know that Hassan Ayariga was a Presidential candidate of PNC and a Ghanaian of-course that today you’re doubting my identification.
When asked whether he feels sorry about his outburst against Osei upon a hindsight, Dr. Ayariga said it was normal for him to react in that manner, in view of the falsehood churned out by the EC to disqualify him. “We all do make unpalatable comments when you hear people accusing you wrongly…there are words if I used on you right now you throw insults.
It’s a normal human behavior. If you lie against me and you tell me I cannot provide my address, did you put a column for address which i did not fill? You did and i filled it. So are you telling me that my document was not valid or you ignorantly did not understand the concept of filling of documents?
Meanwhile Ayariga has said he’s filing a suit against the commission today on its decision.
