A Deputy Coordinator of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) Joseph Yamin, has denied media reports he was sharing money during a keep fit walk at the Asawase constituency over the weekend.
Mr Yamin was captured surrounded by some supporters of the party struggling to receive paraphernalia at a location he claimed was a community near Tepa and not Asawase. He said the items were neither cash nor goodies as propagated by some New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters but branded party caps for members of the community during his rural campaign visits.
“I am the one in the picture. It was not Asawase as they are claiming and it was also not during the keep fit walk. I have always made it a point that a move ahead to prepare the way for the president on his campaign tour. There has never been a period we are both in the same area so those saying I was distributing money are liars. I was returning from Tepa and decided to stop in one of the farming villages to give them the party caps”, he revealed.
Speaking to Kwame Adinkra on Abusua Nkomo, he described as lies that the crowd attracted by President Mahama was induced by money wondering how the party could raise such an amount to pay all patrons of the event.
While accusing members of the NPP of fabricating all manner of lies to unmake the huge attendance at the event, he said “they are now scared because they have seen a lot of support for the NDC in the region and decided to Photoshop pictures in their bid to win public sympathy”
He stated that this will not deter the party from pursuing its 1.5 million votes agenda in the Ashanti region urging the NPP to go on deceiving themselves into believing their flagbearer can ever be president of the country.
