The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Manso Adubia in the Ashanti region, Yaw Frimpong Addo has refuted claims that he described complaining Ghanaians under the current government as lazy.
He also categorically denied a publication that sought to incite Ghanaians against him indicating that the said statement were twisted to cause dissatisfaction for government and NPP.
The MP is reported to have slammed voters complaining that the economic conditions under the government of President Akufo-Addo are hard for them.
But the lawmaker explained that during discussion on Rainbow FM, a caller called lamenting that things are hard under NPP government of which he shared his opinion on the matter.
‘I was misunderstood and misquoted by the writer……….I never used the word lazy in my discussion”, the MP told mynewsgh.com.
“I even appreciated what the caller said and told him to exercise patience and take opportunity of the 2017 budget to adjust himself because there are business friendly policies in it’
“The program was in Twi and I did not use a word like lazy to describe anyone. You can go for the tape and listen it yourself”, the livid MP said.
The ranking member of Parliamentary Select Committee on Agriculture urged Ghanaians to have patience for government as plans are underway to employ more people into the agricultural sector.
He also advised against the use of farmlands for illegal mining saying if the practice is not stop, it will hinder the “one district one factory government policy.
