Former Attorney-General (A-G) and the chair of the assets sub-committee of the transition team, lawyer Ayikoi Otoo says he cannot comment on the brouhaha on the vehicles handed over from the out gone National Democratic Congress (NDC) without authorization.
The NPP led administration has said some 200 vehicles are missing from the fleet of cars handed over to them. The NDC has denied the claims and described it as a means to malign former officers of the NDC.
Some officers of the NDC including Kofi Adams National Organizer and James Agyenim Boateng aide to former Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur had had their vehicles seized.
Lawyer Ayikoi Otoo has been asked to comment on the matter since he chaired the assets committee but taking go his Facebook page, the private legal practitioner said:’’ My attention has been drawn to numerous reports about missing cars with the media expecting me to disclose what my Committee discovered.
“Yes I was Chair of the Executive Assets Sub Committee of the Transition Team.” “My Sub Committee did our work within our remit or Terms of Reference and presented three reports, an Interim, Final and a Sequel to the final report.”
“Having presented the reports, I do not think it’s appropriate for me to discuss the contents thereof in the media without authorization.” “Kindly, therefore direct all queries to the appointing authority.
