Founder and General Overseer of the Glorious Word Power Ministry International has debunked claims that he is spiritually protecting the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
“It’s a lie. I’m saddened with what I’m seeing on social media claiming I am protecting Nana Addo. I am not protecting him or anybody. I am not God to protect him. Bloggers together with online news portals diffusing that information should stop immediately. It’s absurd.
I cannot even protect myself, how much more protecting the flag bearer. God protects all of us. I pray for both flag bearers of the NDC and I don’t discriminate in terms of this. We are all one people” he stated on Accra based Kasapa fm.
Scores of supporters of Rev. Owusu Bempah, besieged the headquarters of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service in Accra when he was invited by the police in connection with a prophecy about Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
He told his church members some people were plotting to assassinate the flagbearer of the NPP on one of his tours, and called on the party supporters and the security agencies to be up and doing.
But according to Rev Owusu Bempah some faceless persons have twisted his words and claimed that he had prophesied Akufo-Addo’s death during his campaign tour of the Volta region.
He is appalled by such claims.
“I truly respect people who come from Volta. We are all one people regardless of the diversity so how then can I make such a claim if it is not revealed to me by God? People doing that will create problems.
“People might say I am doing tribalism. With all due respect, I have church members coming from every tribe. Ewes should not pay heed to that. I love them. I have some of my family members marrying in the tribe so why would I state such a claim? He quizzed.
He continued, “If Nana Addo should win I don’t think he will choose Fantes over any other tribe. Discrimination is not good. I pray for all the presidential candidates for the goodness of the country” he indicated.
