Investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas has revealed in an interview with the BBC in London that he is not scared of death and that he is still focused on his duties as an undercover journalist.
Following a barrage of threats against him after he revealed what has been seen to be the stark corruption scandal in Ghana’s judiciary, Anas confidently maintained he was not moved by any form of threats and that efforts to expose the evils of society was still his priority.
“I am sure that by now you would have heard of the snippets of my family and many other things that are coming up. But I want to assure the people; and all on the African continent who think that they can cow people like us into docility, I am not one of them. I was purged of fear long ago and I am resolute and focused because I don’t do my work alone; I have a team that supports me in what I do. As far as I am concerned, once there are evil doers in the society we must aim at ensuring that we track them down.” he stated
This is the second consecutive time the ace journalist has expressed less concern over his life, the first of which was at an international conference where Anas predicted darker days ahead of him.
In the meantime, Anas continuous to battle for integrity following allegations of impropriety leveled against him by a former Attorney-General Martin Amidu over his recent judicial scandal expose which has seen over 20 high court judges suspended.
