As Ghana awaits the inauguration of the newly elected President Akufo-Addo today, several activities are underway in preparation of the big event.
Several Ghanaians from across the country have gathered at the Black Star Square today to celebrate and witness the investiture of the incoming Nana Akufo-Addo government. Several die-hard spirited ones however flocked the place the night before in anticipation of the main event.
Many of them who had travelled from other regions for the occasion stated “love for the flagbearer Akufo-Addo” as reason for their choice to sleep at the venue at the peril of their comfort. For others, it was the want to be there when the event begins that had them spend the night at the square.
The swearing in of the Fifth President of the Fourth Republic of Ghana and his Vice is underway at the Black Star Square in Accra, an event that will climax the transfer of power from the incumbent NDC government to the NPP administration.
Several dignitaries including the Ex-President John Dramani Mahama are at the venue awaiting the arrival of President-elect Nana Akufo-addo.
