Alfred Woyome walking out of the Supreme Court after Wednesday’s ruling
The Supreme Court on Wednesday November 16 2016 ruled that former Attorney General and anti-corruption campaigner Martin A. B.K. Amidu can proceed with a cross examination exercise of businessman and financier of the governing National Democratic Congress, Alfred Woyome.
According to the ruling by justice Anin Yeboah, the applicant has the right to do that because he personally came to court to get a judgment to have Mr. Woyome pay back the GHc51 million cash he received as judgment debt.
The ruling followed a move by the Attorney General’s Marietta Brew Appiah-Oppong, to discontinue an oral examination of Mr. Woyome, despite serving an earlier notice to do same.
Several Ghanaians have been reacting to the news on various social media platforms with many hailing the citizen vigilante for his unending fight to retrieve monies owed the state.
Here are a few of the several comments that flooded social media following Wednesday’s Supreme Court ruling.
