According to Betty, handsome Mahama deserves a second term
Former Attorney General and Education Minister, Mrs Betty Mould-Iddrissu has argued for the return of incumbent President and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama.
She made these statement while addressing party supporters at a mini rally in Oforikrom in the Ashanti region. According to Madam Betty, since all the Presidents in the Fourth Republic have so far enjoyed two terms in office, Mahama is supposed to be given the same opportunity, especially while considering his personality and good looks.

Mrs Iddrisu described Mahama as a handsome president, an agile personality, a loving and caring President who has Ghana at heart.
We have given one term to our president. He also deserves a second term. Even H. E John Agyekum Kufuor; we gave him two terms. Why can’t our handsome President; a gentleman of his sort, an agile personality, a loving and caring President who has Ghana at heart, also enjoy a second term in office, she queried.
The former Attorney went on to encourage the crowd to vote for Mahama, telling them that even traditional leaders have declared their support for him. She also urged them to keep praying for the President; adding that no one can destroy what God has planned.

No matter the turn this year’s elections takes; history will be made. I’ll tell you why it is so.
Firstly, if Mahama wins, it will be a third time defeat for New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo who has been contesting for the presidency since 2008 – something that has never happened since Ghana’s independence. Mahama’s victory will also record a first-time incumbency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for three consecutive terms.
On the other hand, if Akufo Addo wins, Mahama will become the first President under the Fourth Republic to have served just a tenure.
Then, if any other candidate from any of the minor opposition parties, or even an independent candidate wins, it will still be a record-breaking event for Ghana.
Whatever happens, Ghanaians can only wait till December 7, cast their votes and wait to see who makes it to the Flagstaff House. Like the US elections, surprises or even shock may be the lot of many!
