The Member of Parliament (MP) for Salaga North constituency Alhaji Alhassan Mumuni has rubbished claims by opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) that there are no jobs in the country.
The MP said this during a mini gathering to hand over six Apsonic jungle motorbikes meant for the six chips compounds namely: Bunjai chips, Kpalbe health center, Fuu chips, Kpanshagu chips, Jantong chips and Lantikpa chips.
The MP reiterated government’s commitment in bringing health care delivery to the people through the expansion and construction of various chips compounds that will employ most young nurses.
Mumuni said “it is obvious that not all of you can walk to the various facilities for health care and that prompted the new to acquire these motorbikes to hospital staff to be able to do outreach’.
A reporter in the area Christopher Amoako reported that Mumuni promised government will continue to support in area of health services.
DCE for East Gonja Hon Amin Lukman said the donation by the MP has achieved an objective of the Ghana health services which admonishes them to scale up chips and recounted the directives of President John Dramani Mahama to MMDAS to construct several chips compounds and health facilities.
Donation of 40 butterfly sewing machines, 5 hair dryers, a motorbike for Kpalbe NHIS sub office and a delivery bed for Kpanshegu was made by the MP to comprehend the effort government is making to ensure young women get sustainable jobs.
Also present were East Gonja district director of health services, chief, party sympathizers among others.
