Two reported dead and several others wounded when Tipper Truck with registration number BA 730-12 collided with a Nissan Santra vehicle on the Sunyani-Techiman road in the Brong Ahafo region Wednesday.
According to reports, the Nissan Santra vehicle with registration number GC 4887-09 carrying three passengers was returning from Sunyani when it crushed with the tipper truck loaded with quarry materials.
The deceased included an Assistant Headmaster at the Wenchi Senior High School, Mr Adu Damoah and Mr. Atta Bise, a Circuit Supervisor at the Wenchi.
The others including some Returning Officers of the Electoral Commission (EC) are in critical condition have been rushed to the Sunyani Regional hospital for medical attention.
The police who were at the scene had to cut the Nissan Sentra into pieces to be able to remove the bodies.
Meanwhile, the tipper truck driver and his mate escaped from the scene.
