GOODLIFE FM, a member of GN Media of Groupe Nduom in Koforidua in the Eastern Region, has donated items worth several thousands of Ghana cedis to Hour of Grace Children’s Home at Huhunya in the Manya Krobo District of the region.
The items included bags of rice, fowls, assorted drinks, toiletries, washing and bathing soaps, cloth and slippers, bread among others.
Donating the items on behalf of GN Media, Manager of the station, Ms. Fanta Soku, said: “President of Groupe Nduom (GN), Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, cares about the welfare of children, particularly the vulnerable, and will do everything possible to ensure their upkeep.”
Ms. Fanta said the donation was made possible through the support of listeners of FM.
She said FM’s annual donation project started last year.
She advised inmates not to feel intimidated but to put in their best, saying with the help of God they will succeed in future.
Secretary of Hour of Grace Children’s Home, Mr. Enoch Tettey, on his part expressed gratitude to management of Goodlife for the donation, and called for more support from other institutions and philanthropists.
