Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) has assured motorists it will maintain its fuel prices at the pump despite industry trends suggesting an upward adjustment.
The Chamber of Petroleum Consumers Ghana on Monday asked consumers of petroleum products expect between 8 and 11 per cent increment effective October 16, attributing that to current increases in the world market prices.
But a statement signed and issued Tuesday by the Public Relations Manager of GOIL, Robert Kyere, said “GOIL has decided to keep the ex-pump prices of its Super and Diesel unchanged despite industry trends suggesting an upward adjustment”.
Consumers will thus continue their Super XP at GHC3.630 per liter and Diesel XP at GHC3.620 per liter at all GOIL fuel stations across the country.
GOIL explained that although international indicators point to an increase, the decision to maintain prices is in line with keeping faith with its loyal customers whose support has contributed to the company being adjudged the CIMG 2015 Petroleum Company of the year.
The statement asked for continued patronage of GOIL fuel, products and services.
“At GOIL, you are assured not only of the best prices but the exact quantity and quality you paid for”.
