Former President Jerry John Rawlings says whoever wins the presidential elections is God’s choice for the country.
Mr. Rawlings who casted his vote at the PWD Polling Station in the Klottey Korle Constituency, however, refused to disclose to the media who he voted for in the presidential and parliamentary race.
As the founder of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and having his wife, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings contesting as a president on the ticket of the National Democratic Party (NDP) and daughter Dr. Zanetor Rawlings as the parliamentary candidate for the Klottey Korle Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Ghanaians are curious as to who the ex-President will vote for.
When asked whether he voted for his daughter, he replied, “I can’t tell you who I voted for. I thought that was a secret. ”
Touching on NDC’s victory, he said, “God will deliver. Whoever deserves to win will win.”
Seven Presidential candidates are contesting for this year’s elections namely: President John Dramani Mahama of the NDC, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of the NPP, First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Ivor Greenstreet of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Dr Edward Mahama of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom of the Progressive People’s Party.
Out of all the seven candidates only one will emerge winner and be declared as president of Ghana by the Electoral Commission.
