New Patriotic Party’s Director of Elections Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah says the flagbearer of the party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s fifth position on the ballot paper has a spiritual backing from God.
According to him, though they were present at the commission to ballot for a position on the paper, they believe God has already chosen that position for Nana Addo to save Ghanaians from the ailing economy.
“God knows we are suffering under the Mahama led government and as a result chose that number for us because he knows Nana Addo is the savior for Ghana” he stated.
Mr Adjei Mensah Korsah was speaking on Adom FM’s Morning Show “Dwaso Nsem” Thursday.
On Wednesday the Electoral Commission (EC) balloted positions for presidential candidates for the December 7 General Elections. The NPP came 5th on the ballot paper while the NDC on the other hand chose the 3rd position.
Though the NDC has ascribed the party’s 3rd position on the ballot paper to the handwork of God, Mr Adjei Mensah Korsah believes the 5th position symbolises ‘faith’.
