A subsidiary of Groupe Nduom (GN), GN Power, has donated 20KV generator to the Ghana Institute of Engineers (GIE) in Accra.
At a brief handing over ceremony in Accra last week Friday, General Manager of GN Power, Madam Joyce Oturoku, said Groupe President, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, in collaboration with GN Power, deemed it fit to donate the 20KV generator to the institute to enable them work effectively without any power crises.
According to her, GN has been following activities of the Ghana Institute of Engineers and totally supports their work in terms of knowledge sharing to groom young engineers and keep the older ones abreast of current trends in technology.
She continued that the institution has been doing a great job for mother Ghana which propelled the Groupe President and his management to donate the 20KV generator.
She noted that GIE has been leading an awakening in the engineering community, noting that the successes of both Singapore and China were based on the fact that their engineers lead the crusade on their national development platforms.
President of GIE, Ing. Dr. Kwame Agyeman Boakye, who received the generator on behalf of GIE, thanked management of GN Power and Groupe Nduom and called on other bodies to emulate this gesture when they call them for support.
Services GN Power provide include lighting and power distribution systems, fire alarms, intruders and access systems, energy management systems, data and CCTV, backup power-generator UPS, inverters and batteries, performance of planned preventive maintenance services in line with manufacturer’s recommendations, 24-hour call outs and emergency support services, system modifications and extensions, system inspections and design audits and training services for all systems under their product range.
