Division One League side, FC Tanga, has withdrawn their participation in the 2016/17 GN Bank Division One League with immediate effect.
In a letter dated 16 February, 2017 to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) yesterday, the Division One club stated emphatically their lack of interest in the league, citing no reasons to warrant their sudden withdrawal.
Tamale Utrecht who placed 13th in the 2015/16 edition of the GN Bank Division One League will therefore take FC Tanga’s place in the upcoming league season.
Tamale Utrecht FC will therefore play Real Tamale United on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Academy Park in Tamale, Northern Region for their Match Day One fixture.
