GLICO LIFE, a leading name and brand of choice in Ghana’s life insurance market, has presented one thousand (1,000) reflective jackets to the Ghana Police Service.
This donation was in line with fulfilling its corporate social responsibility in the area of social protection and community involvement.
Presenting the reflective jackets, Group Head, Corporate Affairs and Marketing, Nana Efua Rockson, stated that GLICO LIFE is committed to security and protection and thus, all its insurance policies provide peace of mind and security for an uncertain future.
It is in promoting this that GLICO LIFE found it laudable to support the Ghana Police to also carry out their duty of ensuring peace, security and protection for the citizenry, she added.
Nana Efua indicated that “peace of mind is an important prerequisite for any individual and that if GLICO LIFE can support to ensure its sustainability, it will inure to its business growth. Customers can operate in an environment of peace and have the freewill to buy GLICO LIFE insurance policies.”
Receiving the items on behalf of the acting IGP, Director-General of Services, Mr. Frank Adu Poku, was full of praise and admiration for GLICO LIFE.
He intimated that the gesture would help immensely in creating visibility of the patrol team as they go about their duties.
He further stated that GLICO LIFE has always shown leadership and support to the Ghana Police and entreated like-minded corporate institutions to imitate GLICO LIFE’s gesture as policing was a shared responsibility.
Present at the ceremony were other GLICO LIFE management members in the persons of Mr. John Bucknor Smart – Sales Consultant, Mr. Benjamin Avickson – South East Sector Manager, Nana Oware – Business Development Coordinator for Burma Camp Office, Mr. Joseph Abalo – Business Development Coordinator for Kasoa Office and Mr. Vincent Ofori Sottie – Business Development Coordinator for Accra Main Office.
Additionally, there were key top officers of the Ghana Police Service who joined Mr. Frank Adu Poku – Director General (Services), to receive the items. They were COP Ransford Nission – Director General (Welfare), Superintendent Cephas Arthur – Director, Public Affairs, and Chief Superintendent Obed Dzikunu – Director of National Patrols/Visibility.
Commendably, GLICO LIFE is one insurance company that focuses on leaving positive footprints in the lives of its policyholders, stakeholders and the general Ghanaian community.
To this end, it takes appropriate actions that are over and above industry standard to give back, whenever it can, to support the very people and institutions that have made GLICO what it is today.
