The Presiding Bishop of the Perez Chapel International, Bishop Charles Agyin-Asare has charge the President-elect Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo to introduce sound economic policies to move the nation forward.
According to him, Ghanaians voted for change for an accelerated development thus the new leader has no other excuse than to fulfill his promise.
Bishop Charles Agyin-Asare made the comment while preaching to his congregation on the theme: “Fighting for our common destiny” just two days after the crucial elections.
Akufo-Addo, flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) defeated incumbent President John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress with 53.85% of the total votes cast. President Mahama however trailed behind with 44.40% thus truncating his second term bid.
Since his elections, he has received a lot of congratulatory messages from several dignitaries both home and abroad. Also former President Jerry Rawlings in his message charged the President-elect to rid Ghana off corruption.
In support, Bishop Agyin-Asare underscored the need for the NPP leader to fight the canker and make it unattractive in his government.
