The leadership of Government and Hospital Pharmacists Association (GHOSPA) has directed its members to get ready to lay down their tools.
GHOSPA has been battling the fair wages and salaries commission over unfair placement on the Single Spine Salary structure, payment of market premium and poor working conditions for a while now.
In a directive cited by Starr News, members of the association have been charged to withdraw their services in the coming days, if their grievances are not addressed.
Chairman of GHOSPA Agyemang Badu told Starr News his members have been taken for granted for far too long.
“Our market premium is different from other Pharmacists in the public sector… We are almost at the point of declaring a deadlock because we are not making any headway. We have served notice to the National Labour commission, if by September 5,our issues are still pending, then we have no option than to lay down our tools,” he stated.
