According to a report from the Centre for Media Analysis (CMA), Ghana’s Parliament has received negative ratings from the print media news contents.
This negative rating is largely due to the alleged bribery of the appointment committee in Parliament.
The Centre of Media Analysis(CMA), an independent media monitoring agency conducted a research by analysing the tone of 227 news stories on Parliament in 32 newspapers published from January the 2nd to the 31st of January, 2017.
The research proved that the legislative arm of government scored 47% negative sentiment rating representing 107 news stories, 86 news stories representing 38%, were positive and 34 stories, representing 15% were neutral.
The study is part of the CMA detailed and on-going analysis of the first 100 days of the President, Ministers, Legislators and the arms of government and its agencies.
